The Power of Branding: Construction Industry.

The construction industry is one of those industries that is often overlooked and undervalued by people who don’t know much about it. Construction and all that encompasses it (which is a LOT of different sub-categories) is a lucrative, and essential industry. Unlike a lot of corporate industries, the construction industry is led by tons of small-scale, usually family-owned businesses that all specialize in different things, instead of MASSIVE giants. In the world of construction, the massive giants are the “Unions”, which is something I won’t dive into for the sake of the post.

Why is branding so important if you work construction, or have your own business? Well, it ties back to a point that I made in the opening paragraph. That point being….market saturation. Off the top of my head, I can name at least 5-10 construction companies in my small, local area, and I know little to nothing about the industry. With that in mind, think of people who actually might know a thing or two, how does your company differentiate itself from the competition? Is your quality better? Are you more efficient, and quicker? Do you charge less?

——————————

Here’s a quick example of how a brand can affect even the smallest conversations.

You recently performed a job for a client named Jim. After the job was completed, Jim was very impressed.

Later during the week, Jim met one of their buddies at the bar and showed them pictures of the job you did. The client’s friend, Bill looked at the pictures and asked “Who built that?”

Jim responded with “John Doe Contracting”. Bill said, “Oh I think I’ve seen those guys before, they have those bright green trucks with the bear logo or something right?”

“Yeah, that’s them.”

“Damn, they do some great work” Bill responded.

——————————

If you still haven’t realized why that example would be awesome in real life, let me spell it out for you.

Your client showed a friend (potential customer) your work.

Both of them liked your work.

The friend remembered your brand, based on seeing your trucks.

Catching on?

If you’re still not sold, here are some other reasons to brand your construction company. Wearing brand shirts or hoodies can help identify your workers on sites with multiple contracting companies.

People who like their jobs love wearing their employer’s merch, so everybody knows what they do, and where they work. Which in turn, is also free advertising for you.

Plus, look at this awesome wrap we did for local Cainen Contracting. Pulling up to a site with a high-quality, sexy wrap like this makes a statement. What is that statement?

That you guys take pride in your work, you’re professionals, and you are the right guy for the job.

Vehicle Wrap Cost Guide: Factors, Pros, and Cons Unveiled

Vehicle Wrap Cost Guide: Understanding Pricing Factors and Options in 2024

In today’s automotive landscape, comprehending the expenses associated with a vehicle wrap is essential. Here’s an in-depth exploration of the critical factors influencing vehicle wrap pricing, along with the advantages and disadvantages, tailored to current search trends.

Factors Influencing Vehicle Wrap Pricing:

When seeking a quote for a vehicle wrap, several factors come into play:

Vehicle Size: The dimensions of the vehicle significantly impact the overall cost, with larger vehicles generally incurring higher expenses.
Complexity of Design: Intricate and detailed designs may necessitate more labor and materials, affecting the final price.
Material Quality: The choice of materials, ranging from standard vinyl to premium options, directly influences the overall cost and durability of the wrap.
Labor and Installation Costs: Professional installation is crucial for a flawless finish, but it adds to the total expenses.
Turnaround Time: Urgency may affect pricing, with quicker turnaround times often incurring additional charges for expedited service.

Our Comprehensive Process:

  1. Submit a Quote Request: Share vehicle specifications and design preferences to initiate the process.
  2. Review and Approve Pricing: Transparent pricing ensures informed decision-making before proceeding.
  3. Deposit Payment: Typically, a 50% deposit is required to secure the service and initiate the design phase.
  4. Design Mockups and Adjustments: Collaborate iteratively to achieve the desired look and ensure customer satisfaction.
  5. Production and Installation: Professional execution of the design, ensuring impeccable results and lasting quality.

Pros and Cons of Vehicle Wrapping:

Cons:

  • Vulnerability to Damage: While wraps offer aesthetic enhancement, they may not provide the same level of protection as traditional paint.
  • Initial Investment: Quality wraps require a substantial upfront investment, reflecting the value they add to the vehicle.
  • Personal Preferences: Not everyone prefers the appearance or texture of vinyl wraps over traditional paint finishes.
  • Maintenance Requirements: Proper care and maintenance are essential to prevent premature wear and tear on the wrap.

Pros:

  • Customizability: Wraps offer endless design possibilities, allowing for unique and personalized vehicle aesthetics.
  • Minimal Downtime: Compared to traditional painting methods, wrapping typically requires less time for application, minimizing vehicle downtime.
  • Paint Protection: Wraps act as a protective barrier, shielding the vehicle’s original paint from scratches and minor damages.
  • Removability: Unlike permanent paint jobs, wraps can be easily removed or changed, offering flexibility for rebranding or vehicle updates.

Is Wrapping Cheaper Than Painting?

While wrapping is generally considered more cost-effective than painting, the quality of the materials and installation process is paramount. Opting for inferior wraps may result in long-term issues, necessitating costly repairs or replacements.

Ensuring Wrap Longevity:

To maximize the lifespan of your vehicle wrap, adhere to best practices for maintenance:

  • Regular Washing: Keep the wrap clean to preserve its appearance and integrity.
  • Proper Cleaning Solutions: Use recommended products to avoid damage to the wrap material.
  • Indoor Storage: Whenever possible, store the vehicle indoors to protect the wrap from harsh weather conditions and UV exposure.
